Foods to Avoid After Rhinoplasty
From a strict scientific perspective, there are no absolutely forbidden foods following a rhinoplasty procedure. However, we have noted rare instances where consuming highly fermented foods, such as fermented fish (Pla Ra), has led to temporary redness around the nose.
Fortunately, once the patient stops consuming these foods, the redness subsides naturally without any lasting effects. It does not lead to inflammation or require any corrective intervention. It is important to note that this is an extremely rare occurrence, having only been observed in one or two patients.
What Can You Eat After Rhinoplasty?
You can enjoy a full, normal diet. However, regarding traditional beliefs about "forbidden foods," if you prefer complete peace of mind, you may choose to avoid them for about one week to allow the incision to heal optimally. Rest assured, if you do accidentally consume these foods, it will not cause any adverse reactions or abnormalities.
