Rhinoplasty with Megaderm
Megaderm is a material synthesized from collagen that looks like a soft sheet of sponge. Rhinoplasty wth Megaderm uses this synthesized material to support the tip of the nose, thereby adding thickness to its tip. The doctor will adjust the shape of the artificial tissue to best suit the patients overall facial features. This technique is suitable for people who have thin skin layers which usually are not strong enough to support pointy nose tips, especially if rhinoplasty is conducted using silicone.

Rhinoplasty with Megaderm circumvents common problems such as silicone extrusion and is suitable for patients with thin skin layers.
Rhinoplasty with Megaderm can also be used in conjunction with silicone to help soften the nose while giving it a more natural look.
Who is rhinoplasty suitable for?
Rhinoplasty with Megaderm is most beneficial for people with relatively little nasal tissue since this can cause silicone extrusion if too much silicone is employed. When executed well, Rhinoplasty with Megaderm can add a new dimension to your nose while retaining its natural beauty.

Taking care of yourself after rhinoplasty at Teeraporn Clinic
After the rhinoplasty operation, patients can continue daily routines as per usual but patients are recommended to avoid fermented and spicy food during the first month to prevent inflammation. The nose should be cold compressed periodically for 24-48 hours after the operation. During the first 24 hours after the surgery, there may be bleeding from the wound, which is a normal side effect and wounds should be kept cleaned. Patients are also recommended to sleep with pillows elevated to allow for better blood circulation and should not sleep on the side. The wounds should also be cleaned with a cotton swab moistened with salt water. Gently wipe the suture area in the nose to prevent the blood clots. If it is not convenient to clean the wound by yourself, patients are welcomed to visit Teeraporn Clinic at any time to have their wounds cleaned.
